Briannas journey to healing

We are seeking your support for our dear friend, Brianna.

Before I start on her battle I would like to give a bit of background on Brianna herself. She is a single mom to a lovely daughter named Ava. Bri is a beautiful talented vibrant woman. She literally lights up the room with her laugh and smile. Her family and friends have always admired how strong of a woman Brianna is and how even though facing some of the hardest trials in her life she remains resilient and positive. She has a heart of gold and goes above and beyond for her loved ones which is why we want to help.

In December 2017 our beautiful friend was diagnosed with Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. Her first surgery was in January 2018 where the surgeon tried to just remove the tumour but unfortunately that was unsuccessful as the size of the tumour was so big. Therefore a week later she had a radical mastectomy which is where the entire breast and underarm auxiliary lymph nodes are removed. In her case 8 out the 15 removed were positive for cancer.

She chose to begin her journey of healing the natural way. She became stronger and stronger and not soon after was back at work at Mr. Mikes and In the gym every morning. Eventually she took on a second job as a gymnastics teacher to further support her self and her daughter Ava .

In February of this year she had a severe pain on her rib and thought she had hurt herself at the gym but went to her doctor to make sure it was nothing other than that. She had a cat scan where they saw an abnormality on her 5th rib. She then had an appointment for another biopsy a few weeks later where unfortunately the result came back positive for cancer. The spot on her rib are breast cancer cells so now we are at stage 4  metastatic breast cancer. I 

She made a hard but necessary decision to go on chemotherapy and hormone blocking pills due to the fact that her cancer feeds off estrogen and progesterone so these pills would shock her body into complete menopause. Because of who Brianna is she would like to still incorporate natural procedures and supplements to help her fight this disease.  

 She started this month by taking a RGCC test which is a blood test that was developed in Greece. It gives patients early signs of developing cancer, helps monitor existing cancer and produces an individual profile of chemotherapeutic drugs and natural substances that can be used to achieve best treatment outcomes.

She is currently going thru treatment at the Nardella Clinic in Calgary in conjunction with her oncologist in Grande Prairie. Appointments & treatments alone are VERY costly. Not to mention the inability to work throughout the process. The countless trips from Peace River to these places come with fuel, food, and accommodation expenses. 

As hard as it is to ask , sometimes it’s just reality that we might need a little help. Alleviating stress in this whole situation is key and if we can do that for Brianna and her family we know it would benefit them  GREATLY. The stress has been real both emotionally and financially, as you can imagine.
