My daughter Brianna recently fell victim to a fraud scam. These scammers are getting smarter all the time, and now using multiple people to really sell the act.

Brianna is in her 4th year at MUN where she is working towards becoming a lawyer. She has worked multiple jobs the past 4 years to pay for her schooling and living expenses. Anyone who knows Bri knows how kind, caring, compassionate and hard working she is. She is currently home in Lumsden to work in between her exams to save up money for her next semester.

Last week Brianna received a call from an Amazon agent stating her account had been flagged, followed by a phone call from a police officer. Both calls were fake, done by scammers. Brianna lost $4,000 while trying to remedy the issue that she had been told taken place. When she realized it had all been fraudulent she immediately went to the bank and the police to file reports and attempt to get her money back. No one will be surprised to learn that nothing can be done to retrieve her money and she is now out every cent she had.

Christmas is a tight time financially for everyone and if the situation wasn't so dire I wouldn't be making this GoFundMe.
