Brianna Dahlberg
Brianna is a loving 6 year old little girl that has been through sooooo much! She is battling SIJA (autoimmune disease), Lung Disease, and is a cancer survivor. She is currently in Minnesota at the hospital awaiting her airplane transport to Cincinnati. Once they arrive in Cincinnati the doctors are hoping to do another lung lavage ( this will be her third lung lavage in the last 9 months). Their medical bills are through the roof and a little bit can help! Please donate if you can & SHARE THIS LINK!!
Brianna's mom, Rosie's update on her status:
“ We are here in the PICU in Minnesota with Brianna. On 4/27/21, while she was sleeping her oxygen would drop which is very new as in the past Brianna does fantastic while sleeping. Well due to her oxygen levels continuing to drop when she moves around she needs to be monitored 24/7. The doctors say that her heart is working really hard. She was on 7L of oxygen and got up took 2 steps to the commode to go potty and back into bed and she went down to 55. We still do not have a final plan on when we will get to Cincinnati. We do know Andy will drive the van down by himself so we have a way to get back home at the end. Brianna and I will be on medical airplane but there is no specific time or date as of yet. The team here in Minnesota is trying to get her oxygen needs lower.. We did a 100mg dose of Gamifant on Tuesday.. Brianna went from dropping into the 55s to the 75s about 12 hours after her dose. The plan is to get her another 100mg dose today and hope that it helps her even more! Right now she is out of bed sitting down and on 7L of o2. Brianna got a visit from our favorite hospital dog Rocket today too!! We appreciate all the messages and calls and again apologize if we haven’t responded to everyone. Being in the PICU is really a challenge. Drs and nurses and our specialty doctors are in and out of the room all day.”
My little cousin, Brianna, has been in and out of the hospital for most of her life. She is a sweet and loving 5 year old who has been struggling with SJIA (autoimmune disease), as well as two rare lung diseases,ILD/PAP. Over the last few months she has been struggling more and more to breath which has lead to an increase of oxygen (4-4.5 liters of o2-- which is a lot for a little girl). Due to her medical problems her parents had to make the decision to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to get further medical assistance in order to help Brianna. In the beginning of May, Brianna and her parents had to travel 12+ hours from Siren, Wisconsin to Cincinnati, Ohio where they would begin to treat Brianna's underlying medical conditions. They hoped that they would be able to preform 5 separate lung lavage surgeries smoothly but things did not go exactly as planned. After Brianna's first lung lavage she developed a fever, started to bruise up, and her belly started to swell. The doctors had to do an emergency surgery to try and find out what the new health issue was. Since her intestines were damaged from unknown causes they had to remove some of them amongst other things. On her intestines' they also found a mass which came back as being cancerous but luckily the doctors were able to remove it before the cancer had a chance to spread. Brianna was on a ventilator for two weeks but for now she is off of the ventilator. This little girl has been though so much already and still has at least 4-5 more surgeries and so much further to go and so much healing to do. They have been in the hospital for over 20 days and will be there for at least another month. Their medical bills are going to be out of control and any little bit can help. Please help me raise money to help Brianna with her fight! Please donate if you can & Share this link!
