My son, John, has a class trip next Spring to DC. I really want him to go, as he was born there, and his grandparents are there. But, I simply cannot come up with the money.

I started working again in May, and that's great. But, I was laid off in 2009, was unemployed for 2.5 years, and seriously underemployed, at minimum wage for 1.5 years.


I am making good money now, but, I incurred a lot of debt during those 4 years, that I am trying to make good on.


This is hard for me to do, and to ask for, but I have some friends who suggested it. If there is anything you can do to help, I would appreciate it.
