Brian was a current rising sophomore at UC Merced, majoring in Biology to pursue a career in Dentistry. He was musician, and an avid skateboarder; he valued his family, and friendships. He was extremely proud of his Oaxacan heritage. In 2016, Brian was a recipient of the Palazzo Strozzi Renaissance Essay Award, in which he attended an educational and cultural month long trip in Italy.
