On August 27,2016 Brian was in an accident in Galveston where he sustained 2 broken ribs, broke his back, suffered spinal injuries, broke his pelvis and hip, shattered both heels, and collapsed his right lung. He has had to have several surgeries; 2 screws were placed in his pelvis/hip, back surgery requiring 2 rods and screws along with 5 vertebrae fused, and 2 additional surgeries to repair and clean the tissue around his heels. He will require additional heel surgery in 2-3 months.
Brian will have to go into a 24/7 rehab facility once he is released from the hospital.
Unfortunaetly, his medical bills are adding up and he will be out of work for an undetermined length of time. Brian is determined to overcome this life changing obstacle and get back on his feet as soon as he can! He longs for the day he can get back to the ocean and fish!
