Brian Ford's Gravestone Change

I am hoping to raise $1500 to get a gravestone replacement for my great friend, Brian Ford.
Brian passed away on New Year's Day in 2009 after an almost 10 year struggle with brain/spinal cancer.
When his mom approved his gravestone, she didn't notice that his birth year was wrong - he was born in 1982, not 1992. Since she signed off on it, the monument company cannot change the stone without money.
His mom can't get herself to visit his grave, but knows about the issue. Funding to replace his gravestone is slim. His friends visit his grave often and are disheartened by the mistake - we want to help.
Brian's gravestone is blue marble and cannot be filled/re-engraved, but rather has to be replaced. The monuments center is offering to change at the true cost of replacement - no added margin for the work. We've been able to gather a couple hundred dollars from previous donations, but are hoping to get help with the remaining amount shown above.
Any amount helps - and any amount over the goal will be donated to the music department at Roosevelt.
