On December 6, 2022, Briana heard the news that she had breast cancer following a mammogram. After a whirlwind of appointments, she received the official diagnosis: invasive mammary (ductal) carcinoma - Stage 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. She began chemo on December 23rd, and will continue weekly treatments for six months with the goal of shrinking the tumor and killing off any cancer "seeds" that have traveled throughout her body. The prayer is in six months time she will then have surgery to remove the shrunken tumor.

The Bacon family has many upcoming medical expenses, as well as additional items they need to purchase for their journey ahead. If we reach our $15,000 goal, ALL of Briana's medical expenses will be covered for 2023, which would be one less burden on their plates!
