Virgil Gibson & Brian Berlins Proper Funerals
Donation protected
UPDATE: On November 12,2020, three days after his sons death, Virgil (Ben) Gibson was found passed away in his home. Deanna and Ben have been together over 38 years and have been married for 29 years this past August. Ben was 1 of 10 children, originally from Virginia. Ben was the glue of the family and was the level headed man in the chaos of our lives. In his early years Ben loved to travel to the mountains, walk parks, draw, and most importantly loved spending time with Brian and Deanna. Having Brandon 25 years ago gave Bens life new meaning. He loved raising Brandon and spending time with him, whether it be sending him off to school in the mornings, cooking him breakfast telling him old stories, or teaching him scriptures from the Bible. Ben was the light of all of our lives, and our go to when times were getting rough. He always knew what to say. Ben loved his wife Deanna more than anything. Ben always joked that he lasted 79 years because he had to stay to take care of his wife. He loved being with his wife and taking care of her. Losing Ben 3 days after Brians loss has made the unimaginable happen to us all. We cannot fathom the tragic loss of our Ben and Brian.
Ben leaves behind his wife, children, 4 siblings, and many in laws and other family members.
On November 9, 2020 Brian Berlin passed suddenly in the early hours of the morning. Brian was always cracking jokes and loved to make everyone laugh and smile. Anyone who knew Brian loved him because he had such a contagious smile and outgoing personality. He loved to be the center of attention. Brian loved to spend time with his family and was a movie fanatic. He loved to help others, and took pride in helping people join him in sobriety. Most recently, Brian loved spending time with his girlfriend Alicia and her children. He was there whenever you needed him. Brian was a "big teddy bear" and loved his parents, brother and the rest of his family more than anything. We will all remember him for his goofy, charismatic and loving personality.
Brian leaves behind his parents, brother, grandparents, many aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.
We are raising money to give Brian the proper funeral service and burial he deserves. Every donation is very much appreciated and will all go directly to his funeral and burial services.
His mother, Deanna Gibson, will be in charge of the donations and final expenses.
We all miss Brian so much already, and are heart broken by this loss. Any donation is appreciated as we navigate through this sudden and tragic loss.
We appreciate everyone who has not only donated, but has reached out with your condolences. As you know, Deanna has been fighting COVID and was released today from Hillcrest Hospital just hours after Bens death. Neither Ben nor Brian have life insurance. Deanna has been out of work with no income what so ever for the last several years. We would like to thank everyone who has donated, as it is so crucial to give them both the services they deserve, with a viewing that allows Deanna to see her husband and son one last time before we send them home. Any funds will go directly towards the service and burial of Ben and Brian and any remaining funds will be to help Deanna tie up loose ends and have money to get back on her feet while we navigate this terrible time. Thank you all, and please keep Deanna, Brandon and the rest of the family in your prayers. We need it more than ever.
