I first met Brian in 1999 when we worked together in Technology Connection. He helped and taught me how to build my first personal computer. He was the only person I knew at the time who didn’t think I was crazy for applying for an OSE Unix admin job when I had zero knowledge of the technology. In fact, he encouraged me to apply and shockingly, the hiring manager offered me a position. I don’t think I’d be where I’m at in my career now without his encouragement.
Brian and I weren’t very close, but we did stay in contact throughout the years. Brian was always happy go lucky and anyone that knew him liked him.
It is with a heavy heart to report that Brian passed away on December 31st of a diabetic coma.
Unfortunately after losing his job of 30+ years in 2018, he depleted all of his financial resources and his family could use help covering the expenses related to cremation and services.
I have set up this go fund me account to help cover those expenses.
