Brian Walsh Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Brian and Amber Walsh are local business owners that have lived in NC for over 20 years raising their two daughters and are staples in the Chatham community. Brian is a talented self-employed carpenter and craftsman who has helped numerous families build their dream homes. His wife Amber is an avid activist and Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist whose life work is dedicated to helping others.
On Sunday, January 22, 2023, Brian suffered a heart attack at his home. Once, admitted to the local medical center it was confirmed that he had experienced a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) a rare condition affecting 1-2% of people. With this diagnosis, he was transferred to UNC Hospital for further testing. The following day at UNC, a procedure was performed to assess damage and the possible need for repair from the SCAD. Unfortunately, more damage was done during this procedure and Brian suffered another heart attack shortly afterward. Three stents needed to be placed in order to repair the damage that had been done.
As you can imagine this has been an incredibly scary and taxing time for the Walsh Family. Brian has now been placed on medical leave and is unable to work. As the main breadwinner, this puts a strain on the entire family. This fund is intended to offset any medical care expenses, rent, bills, groceries, and anything else that may arise during this difficult time. We hope that these donations will help relieve any financial stress so that they can all focus on Brian’s recovery.
