Help Brian Fight His Way Back
Our friend Brian is in the fight of his life, and he needs our help.
On February 18, Brian was rushed to the hospital with severe pain. Within hours, doctors discovered a bowel perforation that triggered sepsis and a stroke sending his body into crisis.
The stroke has left Brian struggling with basic motor function, impaired speech, and unable to walk. His heart function dropped to just 15%, though it is slowly improving. As part of his recovery, he will need to wear a defibrillator.
Brian is now fighting to rebuild the life he had just weeks ago.
For weeks he has been heavily sedated, surrounded by machines and constant medical care as doctors worked to stabilize him. For now, Brian still faces several more weeks in the hospital and a difficult road back starting physical therapy to rebuild his strength, coordination, and speech.
Anyone who knows Brian knows the kind of person he is. He is supportive, caring, funny, loving, and reliable. He is a friend to many, brother, a nephew, a proud godfather, and was devoted dog dad to Izzy who passed away last year. For more than 30 years Brian built a remarkable career in artist development at Atlantic Records, helping launch the careers of many artists. Last year he began a new chapter doing what he loves at Urban Worldwide Transportation. Brian is a true lover of life. If you follow him on social media, you know he is always out at events, traveling to new places, staying active, and sharing the huge smile that lights up every room.
The reality is that an extended hospitalization like this brings overwhelming medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and the need for care once Brian returns home. Your support will help relieve that burden so Brian can focus fully on healing.
