Due to numbness, spasms, and being unable to move at times for the last few months, Brian went to the doctor on Monday, May 21. The doctors set up an MRI for Tuesday, May 22 because they did not know what was causing these issues. When the MRI results came in, the doctor called on Friday, May 25 and demanded that Brian rush in to the hospital.
That same morning Brian had an emergency CT scan where the medical professionals discovered a tennis-ball sized tumor on the left side of Brian's brain. The doctors informed Brian that this tumor was causing the restricted use of his right side, including his inability to even lift his leg at times. He was admitted to ICU on Friday, May 25 until a surgery could be arranged.
The surgeons removed the brain tumor on Sunday, May 27. Brian woke up after surgery with his family by his side. Thankfully, he has already been able to lift and move his right arm and leg, but he is very tired and has a lot of pain. Brian remains in ICU for observation at this time.
Though Brian has medical insurance, the associated out-of-pocket expenses that he and Connie (his wife) will bear will be very large. Brian and his closest family and friends are eternally grateful for the love, prayers, and support that everyone has shown. It is never easy to ask for financial support, but to help ease the transition, Brian and Connie would be very thankful for any monetary donation his family and friends might be able to provide.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request, your support, and your love, today and always.
