Brian Shields accident recovery

As many of you know, as a result of sacrificing his safety and body to narrowly avoid a child who turned into his path of travel, Brian Shields was critically injured in a horrible ski accident this weekend while in Colorado.  Having broken almost every significant bone from his pelvis to his ankle on the right side of his body, Brian has undergone several surgeries and the doctors seem hopeful for a complete recovery that unfortunately will come “in time.”  Brian’s recovery however will render him wheelchair bound for a minimum of several months and, of course, largely unable to work.  Brian who is so many people’s best friend has touched our lives in countless meaningful ways and we can rest assured that he has been or would be “there” for us in our times of need.  As such, and knowing that Brian and his family have a long and financially significant path to travel, our hope is to gather contributions to help assist in a variety of ways as he and his family work thru the currently unknown.  Please know that any amount helps and that these funds will go towards surrounding Brian with the best environment and quality of care as to help return Brian to us as close to his “old self” as possible.
