Brian Rogers Family Support Fund
Donation protected
This is a fund to benefit the Rogers family while Brian is building his strength back. We are setting this up to ease the transition into a new lifestyle. Give as little or as much as you can. Brian is one of the most generous individuals that we have ever known. I hope to reflect that generosity to him, his family and anyone I have ever known or will ever know. As Brian and I have often discussed:
LOVE BEGETS LOVE. I hope that this will become a manifestation of that fact.
For those of you who are considering donating but aren't familiar with the details, Brain was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma ("MM"). MM is a cancer of the white blood cells and results in lesions/tumors on the bones that make up your spine and rib cage. It is extremely painful and completely immobilizes you. Brian was diagnosed approximately one month after breaking his back. Brian is currently at Danbury Hospital undergoing radiation and hopefully will begin chemotherapy soon. In his present condition, Brian cannot do anything for himself and even after he returns home he will require a very significant amount of rehabilitation and care.
To make matters worse, Covid is preventing Brian's friends and family from visiting him and will also prevent people from visiting or providing substantive care to him when he returns home. As you can imagine, this has placed an additional burden on Chandra, Lilia and Maya. A cancer diagnosis is difficult enough, but being cut off from your support network at the same time is unimaginable.
If we can't be there for Brian physically, let's make life a little easier for Chandra and the girls by making a donation, whatever the size. To know Brian and the Roger family is to love them. There is no in between.
