Brian Rocha
January 13th, 1979 – September 25th, 2023
On Monday, September 25th, 2023, we lost our beloved Brian. Brian was an extraordinary man. He was smart, funny and had a talent that was phenomenal. Chances are if you are reading this, you may have a piece of art that he gave you. Brian had a huge heart, it was so big that he had love for everyone that crossed his path.
Brian was a people person, it is who he was to his core. He would strike up a conversation with a stranger and by the time he was done talking to them, they were no longer a stranger, they were friends. Countless friends were made all over, from Angles Stadium, to concerts, Disneyland, AA meetings, to local eateries, and business that he frequented.
Times became hard for Brian, and he started selling his artwork for income. Just recently he told me he just started giving his drawings away for free. He was still struggling to support his family, but he said it makes him feel good to see people smile.
Brian so desperately wanted to beat his addiction to alcohol, but it had a hold on him. Yet he did his best to keep fighting for his sobriety and for his future. He went to 6 meetings a day, whether that was in person or online. He read up on anything that he could, to help him cope. He tried to stay positive by reading articles, affirmations, and prayers. I know these things help him through every day. Along with the people he met through AA, Solmar and at the Summit House, so many friends helped him stay on track and gave him support.
My brother was the sole provider for his family. Any funds raised will go towards his funeral expenses and to help with living expenses for his wife, Tasha, and his children Alisia and Zack. Brian’s family was everything to him! He beamed with joy when talking about his children. Alisia was the apple of his eye and Zack was best friend!
If you can find it in your heart to help his family, we will be eternally grateful. If you do not have the means, please keep his family in your prayers as they/we are suffering to get through this. Please share this page with any friends and family that would like to contribute.
The Rocha family, Thanks You! For any contribution and for all the love and prayers, it is felt and very much appreciated!
