All! EVERYBODY'S friend and blues bandmate, Brian "Porkchop Slim" Schooley, has had a setback because of an injury he sustained while working at his self employed "Handy Man" job. He will be out work for TWO months, and as self-employed folks know, that's a long time without a pay check.
I asked Porkchop to write down his situation: "Hello, my name is Brian Schooley. On August 10th, 2023, I accidentally slipped and fell off of a 10' foot ledge, breaking 8 ribs, my collarbone in 3 places and my elbow. I was helping a client of mine to find her property pins when I fell. The doctors did surgery to repair my collarbone and elbow, and my ribs will heal on their own. Surgeries were done on Aug 23rd. Everything went great. 6 weeks is the heal time. I own a small maintenance company, and also a musician where I play harmonica, so as my chest and lungs were affected, I will have no way to bring in income for my family in the meantime. I have never asked for help, but some of my amazing musician friends feel a Go Fund me would help. I am so grateful, and all money raised will go to keeping my family provided for, until my 6 weeks and therapy is complete, then I will be able to return to work. Thank you to everyone."
As his friends know, to know Porkchop is to love Porkchop! On behalf of his friends and family, we respectfully ask for your financial help with Porkchop's current situation. Thank you.
