Brian Parks and Denzel Gray visit the Holy Land

I'm Pastor Jason Dorsey of Redeemer in Redmond, WA. I'm leading an 11 Day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (February 21-March 3, 2023). I invited a young man named Brian Parks to join me on this "trip of a lifetime." Brian is a gifted young man with a heart for God and for young people in urban Indy. I got to know Brian when I served as pastor of Redeemer in Indianapolis. I want to invest in Brian as a future leader in the church and city. Brian, wants to bring his cousin Denzel Gray along. The picture of Brian and Denzel above was taken a couple of years ago. Denzel is now taller than Brian!

I asked Brian and Denzel to introduce themselves. Here is what they said:

My name is Brian Parks from Indianapolis, IN. I am passionate about community development and advocating for minorities & marginalized people in my community. As a a YoungLife Director, I do ministry at Crispus Attucks High School to not only introduce Christ, but to also holistically develop students to become who God intended to be and walk alongside them in their faith journeys.

Denzel Gray is a cousin of mine. Denzel is an aspiring ministry leader at Crispus Attucks High School alongside me. He recently graduated from Ben Davis High School and is discovering his calling and the purpose that God has for him. He has a heart for our students and is developing into a great role model for our students to follow.

Friends, many years ago, there we people who invested in my life, giving me opportunities that I could never have dreamed of by myself. I believe that this trip will be a life-changing time for Brian and Denzel as they walk where Jesus walked and the Bible comes alive before their eyes. Would you join me in helping them go on this "Trip of a Lifetime!"

The cost of the trip is $4,500 per person. This includes air fare, lodging, breakfast and dinner (but not lunch), sightseeing and admission fees. If I am able to raise $7,000, Brian and Denzel will cover the rest. Funds are due November 14, so in less than a week.
