Brian Murphy's Funeral
Donation protected
As some of you may know, my father, Brian Murphy, passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning. This is incredibly hard for our family and we are struggling to cope with the situation. My brother is 16 years old and I am 19 years old and currently a college student with no money to contribute to my dad’s services. My one wish at this point is to be able to pay for my father’s funeral on my own to make him proud and honor his memory as best as I can, but with all of my money going toward tuition, I am unable to make that wish a reality.
My dad was so in love with his home country of Ireland and a large portion of his family, including his parents and sister, reside there. For that reason, we are planning on having a service and burial in his hometown in Ireland that my brother and I really wish to see. However, plane tickets are extremely expensive and are looking to be almost 2,000 dollars for the two of us.
Since he has lived in America for over 20 years, my dad also had many friends and family here that loved him dearly, so we are planning to have a service here as well which of course is costly. My mother, Carolyn Mulreed, is going to try to chip in as much as she possibly can for the service here, but with 2 of the services here and in Ireland and plane tickets to and from Ireland for 2 people, the costs have piled up enormously. I want to help my family as much I as possibly can.
If there is anything that you could contribute, even a small amount, we would be so grateful. I miss my dad and want him to have the two beautiful services that he deserves without placing an enormous financial burden on our family.
Thank you.
