On Saturday the 12th of December Brian who plays 3rd division for Coomealla Wentworth cricket club was doing a task we all have to do and was square leg umpiring when a wayward throw has accidently struck Brian in the head and caused a bleed. He was flown to Melbourne and placed in an induced coma with a serious head injury. Although it is still early stages of recovery the associated costs for Brian's wife Gloria and their 3 dependent children puts a massive strain on their financial situation. Accommodation, meals as well as paying rent on their home all contribute to their costs and given the seriousness of Brian's injuries he will be required to stay in Melbourne indefinitely.  It will be a long road of recovery for Brian and his family.
