My name is Stacia Hoge, Brian’s little sister.
It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my big brother, Brian James Thompson, on Tuesday, March 12th.
Brian had a bright smile, gave big hugs and truly had the courage of a warrior. If you knew him, you know that his world revolved around fast cars and motorcycles. Brian was tragically injured in a dirt bike accident that left him wheelchair bound and paralyzed in 2001. Over the last 23 years, Brian was faced with many challenges and trials, including losing his ability to care for and live by himself.
Our mother, Dorene Diamond has selflessly and gracefully dedicated her life to caring and providing for Brian. As his certified home caregiver she has sacrificed her own home and career to ensure that she was always available for any of his needs, attend his appointments and stayed by his side through countless sleepless nights.
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help cover memorial service costs and provide Dorene with support as she mourns the tragic loss of her oldest son and gets back on her feet.
If you are able to donate, share or send your love, we appreciate it all.
& when you think of Brian, remember him smiling ear to ear, cranking the throttle on his dirt bike! BRAHHPPP!!!
