On October 17th Brian was struck by a massive heart attack while driving his 18 wheeler through Beaumont, Texas. Though he was driving at the time and crashed into a BMW dealership, no one was injured. Brian was taken to the hospital where they saved his life and stabilized him. He is recovering and will be in the hospital in Texas far from his home in Ames Iowa for an undetermined amount of time. Brian's family is with him in the hospital now and would love your support and prayers.
Brian is a loving and kind husband to his wife Donna and a caring father to their three children. While home from the road he loves spending time with them fishing, playing disc golf and enjoying a good movie. He has a strong faith in God and you can see that in the way he cares for those around him. His love for his friends and his family is clear in his actions and words. He is always there for his friends and family. Brian has a heart of gold, and now more than ever he needs us to show him how important he is to us.
Brian has worked for years to get to the point he was at before this accident. He just recently bought his own truck and became an independent driver. This was a huge step forward for him in his career. This accident will be a huge set back as he doesn't have a company to cover costs and get him back on the road once he has recovered.
We, as his family, are asking everyone to come together to support Brian in his time of need. Brian will need financial support paying for household expenses, travel costs, as well as repairs to his truck and medical bills. Right now there is no timeline for his recovery or when we will get him back home.
Because it is hard right now to determine the over all costs we are asking for 25 thousand dollars to go towards helping Brian get on his feet. Your donations will go toward his medical expenses, travel costs, and helping him take the time needed to recover from this life altering event. Anything you can give will be an amazing gift to Brian and his family.
For those of you that live near Brian in Ames, we would love your help once we get him home. Those of you that know Brian know he is a kind and giving person that helps his friends and family in any way he can. If you have the means and the time this is an opportunity for you to repay Brian for his kind and loving ways. Once he's safe at home there will be plenty of ways you can help by bringing food over, helping around the house, or just spending time with Brian to help lift his spirits.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this. Please give what you can, and please pray for Brian and his family.
