Hello, my name is Lori & I'm trying to help some friends who are going through some medical issues. And as everyone knows, it's hard to keep up with everyday responsibilities and obligations. So I've decided to reach out to family, friends, and even strangers to help these two special people.
Now, let me tell you why I am doing this. Brian was diagnosed with malignant neoplasm tonsil cancer in the fall of 2021. So not expecting this result, but here they were. Doctors came up with a plan using radiation treatment. Brian went to all his treatments, but things seemed to worsen. Brian got to the point where he could not open his mouth. He was in a considerable amount of pain. Brian tried to work as much as possible, but it just became too much. And Brian is a worker. Those who know him know that he has been with Johnstone Supply for more than twenty years. His employers have shown him great support during this difficult time. But now, Brian can no longer work. His doctors are now in Chapel Hill. All the radiation treatments did nothing to this cancer. It's was still growing. This is what has caused him not to open his mouth. With that being said, the doctors in Chapel Hill have established a treatment plan. They have to do chemo for five weeks and a series of surgeries. First will be a feeding tube placement. This is to beef him up some. Build a little strength. Then five weeks of chemo. Praying that during these five weeks, it shrinks and then the surgeries to remove, then reconstruct. Brian has a long way to go. Luckily he has Erin to be by his side to help him through this. And she is taken great care of him.
These two have an extraordinary story. Brian and Erin became man and wife on New Year's eve. A true love story.
I have been thinking of what I could do to help Brian and Erin. With neither being able to work right now, I want to help them financially somehow. I don't want them to worry about their bills and all the traveling expenses they are fixing to deal with. I want them to focus on getting better. There have been and will be a lot of sleepless nights ahead. I can't ease their troubles, but I can help make some things not as hard. I ask you to help me help them. With your help, we can ease some troubles.
Please keep Brian and Erin in your prayers. Thank you in advance for all your help.
