Brian Durham Needs Some Wheels
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We’d like to help our buddy, Brian. On Wednesday, June 10th, Brian woke up to find his truck missing from his driveway. From his own driveway! He reviewed the camera he has on his property and sure enough, he can see 2 people backing his truck down and out of the driveway. He called the police and reported his stolen vehicle, along with the couple thousand dollars’ worth of tools that were in the locked toolbox in the bed of the truck. But, even with the police report there’s an excellent chance it will never be found, or if it is found, it will in no way be drivable/usable.
A short back story on Brian to help explain why we’re asking for assistance on his behalf. Brian has had quite the health journey in the past 4 years. In 2016 Brian was diagnosed with Chronic ThromboEmbolic Pulmonary Hypertension (we’re going to stick with saying CTEPH!). CTEPH is a rare and progressive form of pulmonary hypertension (PH). CTEPH is caused by blood clots that do not dissolve in the lungs. These clots cause scar-like tissue that clogs up or narrows the small blood vessels in the lungs. He went through months of various treatments with a lot of different doctors. In 2017 his doctors decided treatments through medications alone weren’t working as they should, and surgery to remove the scar-like tissue from his lungs needed to happen. Brian had his surgery in May 2017. As you can imagine, the surgery, doctors’ visits and his personal pharmacy (and we’re talking pharmacy as in watch out CVS, here comes B.A.D.!) has been and will continue to be a large financial burden on him
Brian is very much in need of a vehicle. As a full time working, single father, he has a lot of responsibilities and people counting on him. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help put money towards a reliable vehicle as well as replacing the tools that were in his truck (a lot of which he uses for side jobs). Every little bit helps. Even sharing Brian’s link along down the line on your social media sites would be a great assist. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you!
