Brian Duddy from the RFH XC and Track teams
Donation protected
Brian was loved by the Fair Haven community, especially the RFH track and cross country teams. Over the years, he always took it upon himself to bring people together. Our community will not be the same without him.
Brian spent much of his time in high school with the same bunch of like-minded, scrawny- looking, but ultimately loving and caring teammates, season after season. What better way to get to know someone than by running loop workouts in Meadowridge? He always made those workouts — and endless indoor track meets at the bubble — more fun and memorable. And then there were all the laughs we shared over post-meet hangouts at the Broadway diner. Brian was the kind of teammate who always showed up to a meet to cheer, would pick you up after a bad race, and distract you during long runs with a classic and hilarious Brian story or political rant.
In honor of the team spirit that Brian embodied, I'd like to make a group donation to the Tigger Stavola foundation on behalf of all of the people who loved Brian and trained with him.
For those that want to be a part of the group donation, I'll also sign a card from everyone to accompany flowers to send to Brian's family. If you have a favorite story or memory of Brian, include it in the comments below and we'll share it with the Duddys as well. Text Sam/Jacqueline Gottuso or Abby Cooner if you have any questions! Thank you.
