BRIAN BRUNO brain surgery recovery

Hey everyone,

We all as tattooers talk about how we are all standing on the backs of giants. Now one of those giants needs us to step up and help out. Brian was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma a little over a year ago and was given high hopes for the battle ahead. This past January he was moved to stage 4 metastatic melanoma when 3 new spots were found in his body. The treatments have been rough and he continued to work throughout the process having to take multiple days off at a time here and there. Brian never complains and never asks anything of anyone other than you show up to work on time. He would show up at the shop on his day off with lunch for everyone because he felt bad about not being here. Just over two weeks ago he was very close to being in remission. Last week he started experiencing some side effects and sensations he had not previously dealt with, and his doctors ordered new brain scans on Friday and 3 spots on his brain were revealed. As I type this he is in pre op to remove one of the spots from his brain. Given high hopes again for recovery there are still so many unknowns. He does not know how long it will take to return to work, nor should he need to rush back. So many of us have benefitted from what Brian does every day. Personally I couldn't tell you how many car payments I have made off of Brian's flash, advice, help, and just his presence. I got my first tattoo from Brian 25 years ago when I was 18 and first met him when I was 15 and have worked with him now for another 18 years. He has always been the same genuine person and I'm prepared to be fired for making this page for him. ( if you know him youll understand! haha )

We have seen time and time again how this community can make magic. Let's see what we can do now for Brian, his wife Emily and their two children. I have had a lot of people ask me in the last few months what's going on and how they can help and here it is.

Please respect Brian and his family's privacy until we have some updates following the surgery. I will try to answer whatever questions come my way as fast as I can as well as will be updating this page as often as there is news to deliver.
