Hi, my name is Rich Boule, and I am raising funds for my son Brian Boule. On the evening of June 7th, Brian was commuting home from work on his motorcycle when another motorist failed to yield and crashed directly into his side, crushing his leg between their front bumper and his bike. Thanks to the quick reaction from the first responding Policewoman applying a tourniquet, and after several surgeries, Doctors have been able to save Brian’s foot. The last plastic surgery was a muscle flap procedure that relocated one of his quads into the damaged area. This procedure has built a suitable environment to grow bone in a future series of surgeries that will take place starting next month. There was significant damage to muscle, nerves, bones, and tendons. Brian has endured much pain to get this far and still has a long way to go. He will be wearing an external fixator device until at least December. PT is expected to last at least a couple of years due to the extensive damage, and when complete Brian will have diminished bone and muscle strength but thanks to the miracle of medicine, he will walk again.

The timing of this accident could not be worse with Brian and his spouse, Stephanie, expecting a new baby girl on July 26th. When Stephanie needed to rest, she has been juggling an unbelievable amount while still caring for their two other children and spending as much time by Brian’s side through this difficult time.

I am trying to help raise money to pay for medical expenses and to make up for lost income. During a recent company merger, Brian’s disability insurance benefits were reverted to minimum defaults, and the other motorist had minimum coverage, making it difficult for Brian and Stephanie to stay ahead of their bills.
