Our Dad loved to laugh. Anyone who knew him will know the only thing he loved more, was making other people laugh. We want him to have one more laugh, with the help of his friends and family.  Whenever he spoke about his wishes after he had passed away, since we were just kids, if not before we were born, he said he wanted to be buried under a tree in Epping Forest. However he said it was to be in an unmarked grave, so that he'd be discovered a hundred years or more into the future and someone would try to solve the mystery of his death. With a mischievous sparkle in his eyes he would chuckle at the idea of being the great unsolved case of the buried body in Epping Forest.  Somewhere in that silly joke was a truth. That the old hippy in him wanted to return to the earth and give life to a tree. And that he wanted to be back home in London, close to where he grew up.  Little did he know when he first started telling people this joke, that it is now possible to have a woodland burial in Epping Forest.  We want to give our Dad the last laugh and honour both his endless humour, mischievous spirit and love of nature, by providing him with a final resting place that is as close as possible to his unmarked forest burial joke. Although we have to say, sorry Dad, we won't, despite your request, be heading out with spades in the cover of night to the depths of the forest as you had perhaps hoped.  My Dad didn't leave much at all behind, being a man that didn't ever prioritise wealth or possessions, but instead memories and connections, but he does leave a lifetime of laughs and adventure behind. So we kindly request that those whose knew and loved him help us to provide a funeral fit for the vibrant, fun and unique person he was and will ways be in our hearts.  Anything you can do to help, would mean the world to us all.  Donations in lieu of flowers.  Thank you  Jess, Dan and Aimée xxx
