Bria Fontus in her journey

Hello, I'm Bria's mom Bonnie. Bria is beginning a very long medical journey that we don't have a lot of answers to as of yet but hopefully in the next few weeks we will have some answers.

Bria developed a UTI on August 8, 2023 and we were prescribed antibiotics and thought nothing of it. 10 days later we ended up back in the ER and were admitted due to a bacterial infection, mono, and rhabdomyolsis and we stayed in the hospital for 8 days, and took oral medicine for another 4 days. She was feeling great and was back to school.

On September 12, we were re admitted to the hospital and found out that the infection was back. My mommy instincts started to really yell at me that there is really something more going on. Bria has suffered chronic constipation since she was born and the doctors think this is the root of her infection. We received a pic line yesterday and now begin the journey to getting rid of the infection.

We know there are several tests that will be done and are not sure what the medical costs will be yet.

What we do know is we will be at CBMC for the next 14 days for sure
