Bri Mckenzie's Emergency Spinal Surgery!

Dear relatives,

The 13th of November, our beloved sister Brianne Mckenzie (Bri Colibri) suffered a very unfortunate accident trekking through the mountains of Santa Rosa de Lima, Mexico. Large stones came down from a rock ledge and struck her in the head and neck knocking her unconscious, fracturing her skull, and damaging several vertebra of her spinal column from the impact.

It was a nearly fatal craniocerebral trauma accident, with multiple fractures in the skull, 5th and linear fracture of the 6th cervical vertebra, with displacement of the 5th vertebra towards the spinal cord.

She was rushed to the emergency room for immediate surgery to prevent irreversible damage of the spinal cord section, which could have caused permanent loss of mobility in the upper and lower extremities (quadriplegia). Doctors worked on her from 9pm to 6am so as to replace a cervical vertebrae and place a metal mesh plate prosthesis to reinforce the medulla.

Fortunately, she was blessed by some of the best doctors and surgeons in the city of Guanajuato as well as the powerful prayers of friends and family to save her life and prevent full body immobility.

Bri is currently stable, but in intensive care life support to ensure her recovery from this tragic accident.

Bri has a LONG road of recovery ahead of her.

She will most likely be immobile for several months while the fractures heal.

Her expenses for the surgery and rehabilitation are going to be significant.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to cover the current medical expenses and ensure she can get all the help she needs to continue this powerful healing journey.

Currently, the hospital is asking:

We predict there will need to be at least another $100,000 MXN pesos in rehabilitation costs over the span of the following year or longer.

We predict in total at least $555,000 MXN Pesos or $32,000 USD for her full & complete recovery in the coming months/years

Brianne Mckenzie is an extraordinary human being, fully committed to the life of helping humanity and her relatives as she has done over the span of several years alongside her partner Tomas Martinez. ¡Cirugía de columna de emergencia de Bri Mckenzie!

El 13 de noviembre, nuestra querida hermana Brianne Mckenzie (Bri Colibri) sufrió un desafortunado accidente mientras caminaba por las montañas de Santa Rosa de Lima, México. Grandes piedras cayeron de un saliente de roca y la golpearon en la cabeza y el cuello, dejándola inconsciente y dañando varias vértebras de su columna espinal por el impacto.

Se trató de un accidente por traumatismo craneoencefálico casi mortal, con múltiples fracturas de cráneo, 5ª y fractura lineal de la 6ª vértebra cervical, con desplazamiento de la 5ª vértebra hacia la médula espinal.

La llevaron de urgencia a la sala de emergencias para una cirugía inmediata para evitar daños irreversibles en la sección de la médula espinal, que podrían haber causado una pérdida permanente de movilidad en las extremidades superiores e inferiores (cuadriplejía). Los médicos trabajaron en ella desde las nueve de la noche hasta las seis de la mañana para reemplazarle una vértebra cervical y colocarle una prótesis de placa de malla metálica para reforzar la médula.

Afortunadamente, fue bendecida por algunos de los mejores médicos y cirujanos de la ciudad de Guanajuato así como por las poderosas oraciones de amigos y familiares para salvar su vida y evitar la inmovilidad total de su cuerpo.

Bri se encuentra actualmente estable, pero en cuidados intensivos para garantizar su recuperación de este trágico accidente.

Bri tiene un LARGO camino de recuperación por delante.

Lo más probable es que permanezca inmóvil durante varios meses mientras las fracturas sanan.

Sus gastos por la cirugía y rehabilitación serán significativos.
