Brewster Sisters: Sparring for Gold 2023

The Brewster Sisters; Megan(17), Ella (14) and Hannah (11) are from Stouffville, Ontario and are all high-performance Taekwondo athletes.
In January, Megan and Ella secured a place on the Canadian National Team for a second time by winning their divisions at the Canadian National Championships. Hannah also won her division as a cadet, so the full ‘Brewster Trio’ will all be competing for Team Canada this year!
As National Team members, they will be representing Canada at the Cadet & Junior Pan Am Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic at the end of April. Megan will also compete in the World Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan at the end of May. They will also compete in several international competitions throughout the year to secure world ranking points and further develop their skills and experience.
Our goal in running this GoFundMe campaign is to raise funds so the girls can participate in these events which are all self-funded. The average cost for each event is around $2,500 per athlete for flights, accommodation and registration fees.
This year is especially important for Megan as there is a real possibility of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics if she can obtain enough ranking points. This can only be achieved by reaching the podium in various international competitions throughout the year. We are confident that she can get there but it will only be possible with the ongoing support of our family, friends and the local community.
