Brett's Memorial Service and Family Support Fund
Donation protected
On the early morning of December 18th, the world lost one of the funniest people with the biggest heart, Brett Combs. Brett’s larger than life personality had such a profound effect on everyone around him. It was evident to me when he was here, even more so now. The tributes to Brett have described him as a sweet soul, full of love and laughter, having the biggest smile, best hugs, concern for others, one of a kind, funnier than anyone you’ll ever meet. Some have told stories of his kindness and generosity. A few have described him as a bright light. There is no doubt he loved and was loved beyond measure.
As Brett’s family was wrapping up their holiday planning, the last thing they expected was to plan a memorial service for their beloved family member. As I’ve seen on many social media postings lately, one thing is common, Brett was a giver. I read somewhere that if Brett had $10, he’d give $8 to a homeless person. This is so true. We often saw the social media posts where Brett would talk about helping those less fortunate often giving up his last $5. That’s just who Brett was. Helping others made him happy.
If you are in a position to help, could you please help Brett’s family by donating to Brett’s service? This is so unexpected and also a horrible time of year for such a tragedy. Every cent raised is going directly to his mother, Maureen Combs, to cover service arrangements. Anything left over will go into a savings account set up for his daughter, Elise.
At this time Brett’s service will be very limited in space due to COVID restrictions. However, there will be an event after the service for all to attend at Bold City Brewery in Riverside on January 2nd. More information to come on that event.
