Bretts' battle with stage 4 Cancer.

My name is Shea and my goal is to ease the financial burden two very special people are currently facing. I don't want them to focus on anything other than the time they have together and to make everlasting memories. These funds will be used to ease the rental pressure on their home and commercial business, assist with Bretts in home care and take beautiful adventures when they are up to it. I want to allow them to create everlasting memories by using the time together in the most fulfilling way possible.

My beautiful friends Dawn & Brett have touched the lives of countless people. For anyone that knows them or has sought their guidance, knowledge, spirituality, love and support you know exactly what I am referring to. A truly magical couple with hearts of gold.

They have been there to help so many of us during our most difficult of journeys and provide guidance through the toughest of times. It is often so hard to put into words the admiration and gratitude we have for these two but I am going to try and show them how much we cherish them and are thankful for everything they have provided this world with.

In mid January 2023, Brett was admitted to hospital with what they believed were kidney stones. Days of tests and monitoring showed cancer in his right kidney. Doctors operated in the following weeks to remove his kidney as well as surrounding lymph nodes and ultimately gave him the news they could only dream of which was that he was now cancer free.

The weeks that followed this surgery gave Brett zero relief. His pain intensified daily with Dawn pushing for answers to be told it is normal post surgical pain. This didn’t sit right with her and after weeks of watching Brett suffer they had further testing to show in 3 weeks the cancer had grown and spread so aggressively to surrounding organs and that he now had stage 4 kidney cancer. A devastating outcome in such a short amount of time.
