Brett Makowski's Battle
Donation protected
Friends, as you may have heard by now, Brett (Buzzard) Makowski has recently found out that he has a brain tumor. He discovered this after long-term suffering of headaches, nausea, dizziness and impaired vision - amongst many other maladies.
After consulting with doctors at Yale New Haven Hospital, it was decided that he will need to undergo surgery immediately. Obviously, there is no need to go into detail how serious and risky this surgery is. Brett is scheduled to have his tumor surgically removed on the morning of 10/31/18.
We are humbly asking that you would please consider donating - even a small amount - to help with his ongoing expenses. Insurance only covers some medical costs. There will be a long road of recovery ahead and Brett will be unable to work in the days following his surgery. He will likely be hospitalized for an additional 7-10 days post-surgery.
The money that we raise will be placed in a fund to be used to cover any expenses that arise over the next 4-6 weeks and thereafter, if necessary. Living expenses, food, utilities, deductibles from doctor visits & prescriptions...the list goes on...
We need your prayers as well. I have had the pleasure of being a friend of Brett's for over 30 years and can tell you that this is likely the hardest life event that he has ever faced. To be blunt, this is as unnerving and scary as it gets.
Buzz is a warrior and will fight hard, but we desperately need your help as well. Please keep him in your thoughts and if you have the ability to do so, he would love to hear your well-wishes.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
