Oral Cancer, Type 1 Diabetes, septic tank failure creating huge sinkhole outside her kitchen...! Our sweet friend, Bretta, still has her smile, but now it is our turn to help buoy her spirits, her family, and her life during this difficult season.

For their entire lives, Bretta and Matt have done so much to serve others. Beginning with missions projects in Rancho Agua Viva, Mexico, and Young Life North County San Diego, the two have made loving others their life’s work from the beginning--supporting the church, their friends, and anyone in need who has crossed their path. All the while, they have been raising four incredible kids: Jackson, Hannah, Mary, and Calvin.

Bretta was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and is adjusting to managing her disease alongside her cancer. On Monday, January 27, Bretta has her fourth cancer surgery and, for a myriad of reasons, this surgery is one of the most difficult she has faced.

It’s now our chance to give back and help the Hayes family. You can help with a donation that will go toward uncovered medical expenses (deductibles, medicines, equipment for home) and help off-set the unplanned and uncovered by insurance cost to replace their septic tank.
