On May the 26th My son went to the emergency room for a mass that had appeared on his neck and was told it was possibly cancer. On May the 27th we went to a cancer center for a biopsy, and on May the 28th we got a call that said he had to be hospitalized immediately and treatment was to start the next day due to his cancer being a very aggressive type of cancer. He had a mass the size of a baseball on his neck, and a mass the size of a fist in his chest, then we got the horrible news as he was diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia at 25 years old. He's worked and paid his own way since he was 16, lived his life how he thought best and always enjoyed himself. He was the life of the party wherever he was, and within a 3 day span his entire life changed forever. He's had to undergo near constant chemo for a month as an inpatient, had an ommaya port implanted in his head, and a regular port implanted in his chest. He's been an inpatient for nearly a month now and is able to come back home in the next few days. Due to covid he's not been able to have visitors or company the entire time. Despite all this he's kept an amazing attitude through it all and continues to due so. He's also shown great progress towards recovery. For the next 2-5 years he will have to continue to go for chemo treatments every 2 or 3 weeks as an inpatient for 3-5 days. Due to the constant chemo and the rarity of his cancer his immune system is constantly fluctuating and usually on the lower end of things. We are starting this fundraiser to help him with his day to day needs, his dog and only companions day to day needs, as well as his bills and Any thing else he might need. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated, and if I am able to due so I will give constant updates on his condition.
