Brett Zweig

Hi, My name is Alisa, and I am starting this funding for my co-worker, Brett Zweig.

Brett has been in the ICU for the past 3 weeks. His left lung is failing from an infection. Doctors have not been able to determine what the infection is. The infection has been shutting down his organs one by one. He is on dialysis 3 times a week because his kidneys have stopped working altogether. This morning, 6/23 at about 6:30am his heart stopped for about 15 min. He is now on a breathing machine because he can't breathe on his own. He is on meds to keep his heart beating. He has a drainage tube coming out of his side chest cavity to help drain the infection and the excess fluids. He has had 2 blood transfusions and will probably need more. Right now, he is in an induced coma to help his body heal and so he doesn't feel the pain so much.

Brett is the father of 3 children that still live at home and has a wife with special needs. He is the only source of income his family has.

As much stress as he is under, Brett always provides for his family making sure they have all the bare essentials to keep his family upfloat, a roof over their head and food on the table. We are not sure how much longer Brett will be able to hold on for.

I have been working with Brett for many years now, and he is the sweetest soul. He takes pride in his work by always making sure that everything is taken care of to his best ability. Brett is one of the most caring people I have ever met. He personally has gone out of his way to help me overcome several difficult times throughout our working history, and I feel it's important to return the favor in any way that I can.

I am asking from the bottom of my heart to help this Family. Please keep his situation in your thoughts and prayers while his family continues to go through this life obstacle.
