Brett's Aphasia Center Tuition

In December 2017, Brett suddenly had a stroke. What started as a normal day with him leaving for work in the morning was a day that has changed his and his families life forever. After leaving for work, Brett unexpectedly came home looking for Tylenol. Heather instantly noticed something was wrong and got him care immediately.
After several days in intensive care, and a few more weeks in the hospital, Brett was released with the knowledge that there was a long road of expensive OT, PT, ST, etc ahead of him.
A year later, Brett has made tremendous strides due to his dedication to therapy. Despite all of this hard work, Brett is still unable to hold a conversation and has very limited use of his right hand. His journey and recovery are far from over.
The Kinnards are raising funds to send Brett to The Aphasia Center in Florida to further Brett's treatment in hopes of regaining speech. The Aphasia Center program's treatment will help Brett with his recovery through intensive speech therapy - 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week, for a total of 4 weeks. The cost of the program is approximately $5,000 a week, plus travel and living expenses.
This program is not covered by insurance. However, the treatment is effective and the results are real - the brain is an amazing web of complexity and this style of intensive therapy produces results. Please help us send Brett the Aphasia Center for the treatment that will make an incredible impact for him and his family.
