I'm sure by now all of you are aware of the tragic events that unfolded this week that robbed Brett James Campaigne of his life, robbed us of our dearest friend and brother and robbed his family of their son, brother, father and life partner.

Brett was an extremely talented vocalist in the Halifax music scene who had a way with words like no other.

His ability to paint a picture with his lyrics was matched only by his ability to draw a picture with his hands to accompany the music he created. Which he often did for his bands album artwork,logos and T-shirt prints.

Outside of music he was a passionate barista at Java blend who brightened everyone's day that crossed his path. He was a bright light in the lives of everyone that knew him. But as they say, the flames that burn twice as bright,burn twice as fast. And sadly that's the truth.

Brett leaves behind his wonderful partner Alison Baker and their equally as bright son Zeke .

They have some tough times ahead of them but with the loving and powerful community that stands behind them, we can all make this a little bit easier for them not only through being there physically for them but financially as well.

I urge you to donate what you can afford to help these 2 beautiful souls navigate the next steps in their lives.

Brett is forever on our minds and in our hearts.

All funds will go directly to Allison to help cover end of life arrangements and her and Zeke's living expenses.
