Brett’s Family becomes homeless June 1, 2021
Dear Neighbors, 48 hours
Brett G.’s multi-generational African American Family of 10 are about to become homeless as their landlord is selling the home they’ve resided in for years out from under them June 1st. There is no alternative housing available for them via the city or county.
Brett suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) while at work as a nurse, from which he has never fully recovered. He’s a kind considerate capable and loving son of two elderly frail parents, father of 7 children. Brett does the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry and bill paying. He gets all of his family members doctors, dentists, and mental health appointments and 3 different schools without a car!
I have every confidence that we can come together to keep this family safely housed.
I’ve set the goal of this go fund me for $50,000 because the family needs a safe, wheelchair accessible home and a vehicle and this would make a great down payment!
If you as an individual, a civic organization, church, temple or synagogue are willing to participate in caring for a family who has suffered through Covid, hunger, medical crisis.... Please make a contribution today and share this with
people you know.
Very Best Regards,
Kim Gasper-Rabuck
