City to Surf raising funds for Brett Eato

Hi my name is Matthew Brown I am the president at Workers FC Blacktown.With Hayley fielding one of the daughters of one our life members we are putting forward to do this for a really worthy cause. 

Brett Eato and his family have been members of Blacktown Workers FC for many years. Their son Riley plays with my son Noah and has done for 4 years.

Brett was also my wife Cindi’s Personal trainer for 3 years and known her for 10 years. Debbie has been involved with Workers FC with managing Riley’s soccer team and a each year helping out with our charity cake store and so much more. We have known Brett his beautiful wife Debbie and their 3 children Hayden, Shayleigh, and Riley for quite some time. Hearing Brett being diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and knowing he would endure months of treatment just broke our hearts and pulled at our heart strings . He is a top bloke , an amazing father and a wonderful husband , son , uncle and friend to many.

As I watch this family fight the big C I found myself wanting to do something to help this amazing family. What a better idea to do then compete in my first city to surf and have a fund raiser along the way. With the money we raise I am hoping to help this family ease the financial burden that comes with this journey.

The Eato’s are an amazing family and are always there to help others and put others first so I would like along with all my friends , family and members from Blacktown Workers FC to put them first!!

So let’s dig deep and even if we can help a little with the financial burden it would be greatly appreciated.

Once me and Hayley have finished the city 2 surf run. I will be withdrawing the funds and handing the eato family the money that everyone has kindly donated. I will also be donating my running shirt for them to keep. A video will be done of this presentation for all to watch. This will happen around the end of October.
