As most of you know, my son Brett fell and dislocated his recently repaired hip and socket (May 21, 2021). I am starting this GoFundMe to help him with his medical and living expenses.

Brett was born with both hips dislocated. Our pediatrician didn’t examine him correctly when he was born at Methodist Central in Dallas. Through his first years he was real sway back. Our doctor told us not to worry he would grow out of it. When we finally took him to an Orthopedic Surgeon in Dallas it was discovered his hips weren’t in the sockets. He had his first major surgery when he was 5 yrs old at Baylor downtown Dallas. He was in traction with pins through both knees and weights at the end of the bed for a month. They had to strap him to the top of the bed since he didn’t weigh very much. Towards the end of the month he practically had given up eating anything, when they scheduled him for surgery. He was in surgery for over 16 hours and ended up in a full body cast that he had to wear for a year. After that another surgery to straighten his legs out, which he had to wear nearly a year. Then he was in Physical Therapy to learn how to walk again.

Brett has suffered greatly though most of his life. Through the years he’s had at least 6 procedures on his hips. He’s been through so much the last couple of years physically, mentally and financially. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please continue to pray for Brett as he moves forward.
