Brett Brighton’s road to recovery …
Donation protected
Hi everyone
I have created this page for my brother Brett. In February his entire home and belongings were destroyed by fire. The next weeks were touch and go as he was in an induced coma with serious burns to his body. People rallied around and asked how they could help. This fundraiser has been created to support Brett in his journey to recovery. He has lost so many important treasures…Some that can never be replaced… RIP to his best friend Harry, his beloved dog.
The money will be used for buying necessities like clothing and assisting with preparing his land for a rebuild. Brett also faces a long rehabilitation which includes monthly trips to Melbourne. He will not be able to drive until he reaches milestones in his recovery.
For those that don’t know Brett’s background, he served in the Australian army for 13 years and deployed to Afghanistan several times. Brett is a much loved member of his Dartmouth community and has served in the CFA for 26 years, current rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
Brett is a much loved son, brother, uncle and a great mate..
Thank you from myself and Brett’s entire family. Our aim is for Brett to get home and begin the next part of his journey.
