Make Brent's dreams come true

My name is Brent, and I am 33. I live in Brisbane with my wonderful and very supportive partner Leigh. Over the years, I have worked, lived and volunteered in Brisbane and Sydney. Giving to other people has always been my biggest attribute.

Since the age of six, I have lived with an autoimmune disease. I have been diagnosed with End Stage Liver failure secondary autoimmune hepatitis, and I receive treatment every three to four weeks to drain fluid from my stomach, which causes extreme pain. Because I require oxygen, I can no longer travel long distances, and due to my terminal diagnosis, it is very difficult to get travel insurance.

Leigh and I are passionate about travelling and are hopeful that we can travel soon. My family also loves travelling, and I want them to live an experience that most people only dream of. I want to create years of memories for Leigh and my family.

Connection to Country is important to my family and me. My ancestors lived and breathed on this land, and their spirit runs through it. Travelling across Australia and visiting as many towns, villages and landmarks as possible is something I have always wanted to do and with your help, my loved ones and I can.

Most importantly, I want to be able to marry Leigh surrounded by family and friends along the Australian coast. We love the beach and hope to get married on the water, surrounded by the people I love most in the world.
