Bret's Journey to Recovery

My brother-in-law Bret woke up a a few days ago with no feeling in his legs. He was taken to a hospital in loveland by his mom and dad where they did an MRI and found what they believed to be a tumor in his spine. He was then flown down to Anschutz where he was quickly seen by a neurosurgeon who deemed surgery necessary. After hours in surgery he came out and still has his amazing sense of humor! During surgery they found it was a blood clot not a tumor and was likely caused by a spinal aneurysm. This blood clot was inside the spinal cord and did cause unknown damage. They removed some dead tissue and relieved the pressure. He is now in recovery and is waiting to see how much feeling he has. Our biggest prayer is that he is fully healed and able to walk again. We are asking for support both financially and spiritually as we try to figure out what the next steps are. Bret is going to have lots of medical expenses as well as unknown amounts of time out of work. Please consider giving what you can financially and in prayer. Thank you and God bless.
