The Santa Cruz memorial has been scheduled for Sunday, November 5, 2023. There will be a paddle out at Mitchell’s Cove at 12pm, followed by a memorial reception at the Dream Inn hotel from 2-5pm. If you plan to join us at the Dream Inn, please RSVP as space is limited.

Friends, thank you for the outpouring of love and support for Bret, Su and the Haynes family. Bret’s sudden passing has created a hole in our hearts and has left us all reeling.

I arrived on the island from Santa Cruz yesterday and am working with Aaron and Bret’s nephew Jacob (my son) to provide support for Su and help make arrangements for Bret.

All proceeds will benefit Bret’s funeral and memorial arrangements and help to cover unexpected costs that Su is now facing.

There will be a Kauai celebration of life on Sept 3 at 1pm at Kalihiwai Beach in Kauai and a Santa Cruz memorial in the coming weeks (date TBD).
