Support Needed During Life-Altering Quadruple Bypass Surgery

Hi everyone,

First, I want to thank all of you that have contributed to my GoFundMe fundraiser. Also, I wish to thank my entire medical team at St. Peter's in Albany, and Dartmouth at SWMC in Bennington. It has made a large impact and has helped me cover needed expenses like firewood for the upcoming winter.

As an update, I am now healthy enough to schedule my multiple hand reconstruction surgeries which begin at the end of this month. I am still unable to receive any financial assistance from normal government/employer channels. And, I'm unable to work for the next few months due to the quadruple bypass surgery recovery and impending hand surgeries. I'm still in a difficult financial spot. With no income, I’m still struggling to cover basic living expenses like my mortgage, utilities, gas, and food.

My original post: I’m reaching out for help during an incredibly challenging time in my life. What started as a pre-op visit for hand surgery turned into a life-altering event when doctors discovered that I needed emergency quadruple bypass surgery. This was completely unexpected, landed me in the hospital for 21 days, and the recovery process is long and intense. I am grateful to be alive!
