Amber Sterriker and her 5 year old son, Max, recently suffered a great loss when Brent Sterriker passed away suddenly on the morning of April 9th, 2020. Brent was a devoted husband to Amber, and loving father to Max, and his absence will be devastating to the family he leaves behind.
Brent was a big personality in the BMX world and was an inspiration to the entire BMX community. Over his years of building bikes and racing on tracks across the country, Brent touched the lives of many. Everyone who knew Brent, loved him. He was smart, always kind and helpful, funny, could fix your bike on the spot, and was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back - whether you needed it or not.
Brent and Amber met through BMX, and their presence at tracks and races over the years was constant. BMX was everything to them: if you knew one of them, you knew the other. And then Max was born. Brent adored his son and beamed with pride in everything Max did. He was a great father and was happily passing along each and every bike skill he could.
This GoFundMe page was created to help Amber shoulder the financial burden she is being faced with. As a single mom, she will now have to juggle Max’s school arrangements around her work schedule. She will have full responsibility for their housing and transportation needs. Funds raised will also help Amber with expenses she will incur to ensure Brent has a final resting place, and a memorial of friends and family to express their love and condolences. Anything you can afford to give would be a tremendous blessing to Amber, and all funds raised will be given directly to Amber.
