Brent Johnson

As many of you know, on Friday, March 3rd we suddenly and tragically lost Brent Johnson: father, husband, son, brother, coach, and friend. He left behind his wife Julie, sons Noah and Vaughn, step-daughter Chloe, immediate and extended family, and countless friends.

In life, Brent was incredibly passionate about his family and friends, and he loved helping people in any way he could, even if that meant making someone smile when they were having a bad day. He was also a loving coach and mentor to many young athletes in the sport of lacrosse. In Catonsville, Mt. Saint Joe, Breakers, and 91 Lacrosse Maryland, he made a strong impact on many young men through his dedication, mentorship, friendship, and compassion. His soft/Zen approach to coaching coupled with his competitive nature made him a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the field.

But Brent was more than a lacrosse coach. The people he impacted span far and wide throughout our community through his unwavering kindness and generosity. He touched so many lives in so many ways and we know that his love and passion for helping people will live on beyond the time he spent here on earth.

As a tribute to Brent, we humbly created this GoFundMe account as a way to honor his life. The money raised here, which will be managed by his brothers Tim and Jason, will go toward Brent’s legacy: supporting his wife, sons, and the young lacrosse players who may need a little help. Brent would want that.
