Brent- Fighting for a better To Marrow!

Hi it’s Donna, asking for help for my friends Karen & Brent with their fight to beat Brent’s Multiple Myeloma. Brent was diagnosed just a few months ago after reporting back pain! This poor man has encountered more complications than anyone I have ever cared for as a nurse of nearly 40 years, yet he and his wife of neatly 20 years carry on like troopers! They are amazing and inspirational! Brent retired from UPS and is an also proud veteran. He and Karen left the cold winter temps of Illinois for the warmth of sunny Florida where they had hoped to enjoy their retirement. This is where I met their acquaintance. They are quite the team these two. Together with their dog Max, they have settled in nicely in our small community. Cancer is quite expensive. The high cost if meds, despite great insurance, is slowly depleting their savings. Karen has been unable to work consistently, although she tries, but complications always seem to interfere with her attempts. Brent needs her now more than ever

Brent’s medical bills will continue to grow and our hope is that through generous donations they can keep their head above water! Every donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.

Update: Plan for Brent Chemo in conjunction with Radiation for 10-12 weeks followed by Stem Cell replacement at the Moffitt Center in Tampa Fl.
